How to Use GIS Layer Management

Import one or more spatial files using the Import button (GeoJSON, Shapefile, KML, WKT, CSV or Excel).
Each file becomes a separate named layer in the layer panel on the left.
Toggle layer visibility with the eye icon, or adjust opacity with the opacity slider.
Reorder layers by dragging them up or down in the panel.
Select a layer and click Export to download it in your preferred format.

Layer Management – Frequently Asked Questions

How many layers can I add?

There is no hard limit. You can add as many layers as your device memory supports.

Can I export individual layers?

Yes — select a layer in the panel and use the Export button to download it as GeoJSON, Shapefile, KML, WKT or CSV.

Can I merge multiple layers into one?

Yes — select multiple layers and use the Merge action to combine their features into a single layer.

What spatial formats are supported for import?

GeoJSON, Shapefile (.shp or .zip), KML/KMZ, WKT, CSV with coordinate columns and Excel (.xlsx) with coordinate columns.

Does layer styling carry over when I export?

Export is format-agnostic. GeoJSON and Shapefile exports do not preserve symbology. Styles are applied within WPS Studio only.
